TouchCast: Join the Hangout, Rock Your Announcements!

This year, I’ve conducted a few Google Hangout sessions focusing on topics such as Minecraft, Video Announcements, and GAFE apps, add-ons, and extensions.

Over the next couple of weeks, I’d like to do 3 more Google Hangout sessions, all of which will focus on Video Announcements and Media Projection with the TouchCast app.

If you’re looking to get started with video announcements in your school, or if you’d simply like some ideas about how to use TouchCast in the creative space in your learning commons, this might be something to consider! Also, you get the bonus of learning how to use Google Hangouts, which is a great tool to make global connections in your classroom, and participate in initiatives such as the Global Read Aloud and Exploring By the Seat of Your Pants.

The session details, and the links to access each session are outlined below. There is a different link for each date.

If possible, please use a computer with the Chrome browser to access the Hangout, and ensure that your mic is on and working. It’s up to you if you want to have your web cam turned on. I will be jumping in the chat a few minutes early, and I would recommend you do the same, as sometimes there are some initial technical issues.

ONE MORE IMPORTANT TECHNICAL NOTE: PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ARE SIGNED INTO YOUR GOTVDSB ACCOUNT PRIOR TO CLICKING THE LINK AND ACCESSING THE HANGOUT.

If you have any questions, send me an email, or tweet me at @pluggedportable.
